Have you ever wondered why some days you feel invincible, while others leave you feeling completely drained of energy? Energy Leadership™ could give you a new perspective.
Trust me – I get it.
For years, I struggled with my own inner critic. I tried to quiet that voice that told me what I “should” do or convince me that I wasn’t quite good enough. Fear, helplessness, joy, excitement – they’re just a few of the emotions that make us human. However, when we peel back the outer layers of those feelings, and we explore the energy behind them, that’s where the magic happens.
The Energy LeadershipTM Index Difference
When I discovered the Energy Leadership™ Index (ELI), it felt deeply personal. This assessment gave me a way to recognize my own thought patterns, and provided a roadmap to be kinder to myself. As an Energy Leadership™ Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP), I use this powerful tool with my clients. The ELI helps my clients understand the invisible force that shapes their lives: their energy.
The ELI isn’t a personality test. It’s a proprietary, attitudinal assessment developed by iPEC. Think of it as your internal operating system. The ELI captures your energy and perspective – how you show up both in typical situations and when you’re stressed. Understanding your energetic mindset is crucial to consciously creating changes that stick.
The ELI is like having a “Choose Your Own Adventure” tool for your life. It gives you a clear understanding of:
- How involved and engaged you are at work and at home
- What’s holding you back from leading yourself and others
- Whether you’re the cause of your life, or the effect of your circumstances.
My personal experience with the ELI – and the “a-ha moments” I gained through a debrief session with my own coach – have changed me profoundly. It showed me that if we don’t like the words our inner critic utters or the stories we tell ourselves on repeat, we have the power to change them.
The Energy Leadership™ Index is the vehicle for insight. Coaching turns that awareness into action.
How the ELI works in your coaching journey
Every client takes the ELI assessment at the very beginning of our coaching journey. The results are a roadmap to self-awareness and a powerful starting point for our work together.
1. Insight & Awareness: The ELI provides a clear, objective snapshot of your current state. For many, this is the first time they see a visual representation of how they’re spending their energy. It offers profound insights into what’s holding them back, where they’re thriving, and how they can shift their perspective to achieve their goals.
2. A Shared Language: The seven energy levels give us a common vocabulary to discuss what’s happening in your life and career. For instance, instead of just saying “I feel stressed,” we can go deeper to identify the specific energy level in which you’re operating. This leads us on a journey to come up with ways to shift into a more empowering energy level.
3. A Measure of Growth: After six to twelve months of working together, my clients retake the ELI. This second assessment provides an objective measure of their growth. It provides a clear starting point and a tangible way to track the client’s energetic progress. It’s incredible to see the shift in their perspective and to know they’ve gained a skill that will serve them for a lifetime.
I’m excited to share this powerful tool with my clients. It’s an invitation to understand yourself on a deeper level and to lead from a place of conscious choice, rather than unconscious reaction.
